From EE to UX

The best part of my professional engineering experience was leading my own project from a conceptual design born from customer requirements into a product launch. From that work experience, I was able to understand and appreciate the effectiveness of an agile working environment of continuously working on and iterating a product.

Although the technical work was interesting, I wanted a different creative outlet, especially through digital design which I have enjoyed since I was very young. When I learned about UX design, I found that its research-driven and user-centric purpose for design struck a perfect balance for my creative and technical cravings. After countless hours of career researching, chatting with seasoned UX designers, and completing an online UX program, I can confidently and happily say UX design makes me feel fully engaged and properly challenged.

I believe that user experience has the perfect balance of design work, creative problem solving, and making use of technology to solve for the real needs of people.
